We were invited to create a series of garden spaces for this most prestigious of San Francisco’s designer events. Every year a house is chosen by the staff and parents at University High School to remodel into a homeowner’s dream. Each room is assigned to a different designer, and we were given a site worthy of a Hollywood movie. From the two roof-top terraces to the ground-level cascading Cliffside Gardens, it would be difficult indeed to imagine a more inspiring space. This event was not only an opportunity to experience life on the high end of the design spectrum, but was also a major scholarship fund-raiser for many talented young people who might not otherwise have been able to attend this well thought of private high school.
