A Garden For the Drought

This is just one section of a larger Woodside garden that we designed. There were problems with this part of the garden, so we decided to turn it into a succulent and cactus garden instead. We shut off the irrigation, and only occasionally hand-watered plants for the first year or so. Several years have passed, and it needs no water at all. The secret to success with this sort of planting is porous soil and good drainage.
